It's been an interesting month. So many lessons to learn. The biggest for me is acceptance. We do not have control of what happens around us, or the curve balls life throws at us, or even our emotions that quickly arise. However, we do have control over our reactions, and the stories we create about the past and the future.
Yoga teaches us Santosha, learning to find contentment or peace in times that are not ideal or perfect. If we can accept, and be grateful for this very moment then we can let go. The body will release pent up stored tension, therefore reducing inflammation. So yes, the mind effects the physical, and the physical effects the mind. If we can be grateful for what we have, and release what does not serve us we then make room to receive. When we receive, then we have more to give.
